Welcome to the GDRI South Africa website
The purpose of the GDRI “Biodiversity and global change in Southern Africa” is to provide support for research, and to coordinate the scientific activities of its members; its actions focused on two main activities: an annual meeting and the development and promotion of research training for young scientists.
The GDRI “Biodiversity and global change in Southern Africa” undertakes to:
- Facilitate and encourage contacts and exchanges between researchers,
- Promote cooperative actions, and coordinate and structure multi-partner research programs to respond to calls for tender for research and technological development support,
- Hold conferences on its research themes
- Encourage training.

Four work packages form this GDRI:

Climate changes and mammal evolution
Coevolution,
invasion and plant conservation biology
Global
change, functional traits and phylogeography
